Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Certified Hypnotherapist
I am a therapist who began my journey in my early childhood. I’ve always been drawn to the science of psychology and had a special fondness for the unconscious mind and the power it holds. Once I discovered psychology, I wanted to use it to help people; it quickly became a passion and a mission of mine. I soaked up anything to do with psychology in my early teen years and decided this would be my life’s path. I believed being a psychologist was the best, and only, way to achieve my goal of helping people. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology and even finished my doctoral studies in health psychology; all in an effort to do what I’d always wanted to do- help others feel better and embrace their best life.
With my education came experience. I jumped right into being a therapist as a natural progression but couldn’t figure out what was missing. This was what I had always wanted to do. I thought psychology and therapy was the pinnacle for helping people. So why was I feeling, as a therapist, that there must be something more? Something I was missing? Being a therapist was not the fulfilling role I anticipated it to be. I even took jobs in higher education teaching psychology to college students and hoping that they would find that spark I had for psychology. It took me a decade of working as a psychotherapist and a college instructor to realize I was missing hypnosis to complete the puzzle.
My curiosity and enthusiasm for this wonderful healing modality and my encouragement from my own hypnotherapist, eventually lead to my enrollment in the Hypnosis Motivation Institute’s Nationally Accredited College of Hypnotherapy. Once there, I learned so many wonderful and fascinating tools to assist people with empowerment and personal transformation that my heart raced with excitement in every class. During my clinical hypnotherapy internship, I had the good fortune to work directly with the Director of the Institute and key Senior Staff Instructors to learn to integrate my entire prior learning experiences into my hypnotherapy practice, combining everything I had learned on my own path with the clinical hypnotherapy skills I had acquired at the College.
Today, I have found my life’s passion. Nothing fills my heart more than to witness a soul releasing its pain, discovering its power and finding its purpose. Realizing that hypnosis can help people in ways that I’d never dreamed was inspiring to me and made me understand that my passion is here. Today, I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the state of Florida and a Certified Hypnotherapist. I focus on the best modality to help you. I believe in both psychotherapy and hypnotherapy as the best ways to help people unlock their potential, heal their minds and bodies, and emerge on the other side the person they always knew they could be.
